Location

The brigade is situated on Nicholson Road just south of Thomas Road in Oakford Western Australia, 40 kilometres south of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, at the foot of the Darling ranges, in the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale

With the  Kwinana Freeway (Perth to Mandurah) to the west, and the South West Highway (Perth to Albany) to the east.

The Brigade is housed in an 80ftx 40ft steel framed shed containing 3 Fire appliances and also has a communication centre.

The area is made up of farm land, small hobby farms (mainly 5 acres) and bush land, Many of the residents are Horse owners  with ‘pacers’ which are run at the local Byford Trotting complex or in Perth at  Gloucester Park Trotting Complex.

Summer months are between November and May and the temperature can reach the mid
40 deg ‘c’ with hot dry easily winds.
Winter months are between June and October and can be very wet and with temperatures going down to 1 deg C .

Permits to burn are issued during the spring and autumn months
NO fires are permitted during the summer months. During the winter months there are on restriction on burning.
